This six-lesson online certification course showcases the use of essential oils in mental health settings.
Aromas have a direct impact on the limbic system, the brain region also associated with emotions and memories, making essential oils a powerful tool for managing mood disorders. A person- centered approach to aromatherapy involves identifying scents that resonate positively with the individual.
This approach is perfect when applying clinical aromatherapy wherein the client and his/her aromatic memories and choices are central. Students will learn how to evaluate the needs of clients, choose appropriate protocols, and Incorporate aromas into a client-centered mental health environment.
IMPORTANT: This course does not constitute a professional qualification and does not authorize you to practice as a mental health professional. It is intended to provide you with framework to utilize either in your licensed practice, or for your personal health.
