Tisserand Institute Notices

PAYMENT POLICY

Upon enrollment of a Tisserand Institute course, you are confirming your obligation to pay for that course in it’s entirety. When on a payment plan, you are committing to the full payment schedule, unless otherwise agreed upon, despite completion status of the course.

If your payment declines, an automated message will be sent and you are expected to contact us for resolution within 3 days. The system will periodically reattempt failed payments until they are completed.

If a declined payment is not resolved in 3 days, your course access may be suspended. If the payment is made within 7 days of suspension, your course access will be restored. If payment is not made within 7 days of suspension, you may permanently lose access to the course materials and any credits or awards gained.

Each enrollment is considered a ‘seat’ that is specific to one individual learner. Individual courses, awards and accounts cannot be transferred to another person or name. Accounts are not to be shared and multiple users may not access an account.

If you are purchasing a course for a friend, family member, employee or any other individual, we suggest having a written agreement in place between the payee and the learner, as courses cannot be transferred or refunded due to conflict, employment termination or other unforeseen circumstances.

REFUND POLICY

Single Classes & Lectures: The Tisserand Institute will refund your payment in full, with no questions asked, if you request a refund within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, course fees are not refundable. At the time of refund, you will be unerolled from the class and lose access to all materials within.

Certificate Courses & Diploma Programs: The Tisserand Institute will refund your payment in full, with no questions asked, if you request a refund within the first 7 days after the course has begun. A course is considered to have begun when its first lesson releases. After 7 days, course fees are not refundable. At the time of refund, you will be un-enrolled from the course and lose access to all materials within.

Requests for refund should be sent by email to support@tisserandinstitute.org.

If a refund is granted, the refund will be issued within 48 hours of your request and issued directly to the credit card you used to make the purchase. Refund transactions usually take 3-5 business days to appear on your statement, though actual time is determined by your banking institution.

Please note that non-completion of course material or assessments is not grounds for a refund claim. We do have a readmission option that will allow you to re-enroll in a future cohort for a fee. Please read the readmission policy and terms below, and contact us to start a readmission request.

READMISSION POLICY

Our course readmission allows TI students to join a future cohort of the same course they’ve previously taken for a small administrative fee. Students may wish to use this option if they were unable to complete a course, or simply to refresh their knowledge.

Certificate Courses: $50
TI students can re-enroll in a certificate course they have previously joined for a fee of $50. This applies to the same version of the course. If a course is updated, the fee is increased accordingly (see ‘course revision’ below).

Bundled Programs: $100 (Aromatic Skincare or Complete Formulation)
TI students can re-enroll in a bundled program of 2 or more individual certificate courses for an administrative fee of $100. This applies to the same version of each individual course. If a course is updated, the fee is increased accordingly (see ‘course revision’ below).

Diploma Programs: $150 (Aromatic Science or AromaDermatology)
TI Students in our Diploma programs can choose to re-enroll in the same Diploma again for $150. This applies when each individual course in the Diploma are the same version previously joined. If a course in the Diploma has been updated, the fee is increased accordingly (see ‘course revision’ below).

Course Revision: (Example: 2nd Edition, 3rd Edition, etc)
We update our courses every 3-5 years. If you wish to re-enroll in a course you’ve previously joined, but the course has been revised with new and updated information, you will still have the option with the fee stated above, plus the cost of the new lessons/material. This cost varies depending upon the amount of new material within a specific program.

Please email support@tisserandinstitute.org for enrollment options on revised courses.
