Aromatic Skincare program with Robert Tisserand

We invite you to dive deep to explore how essential oils interact with the skin in our two-part certification program. We start with a thorough examination of essential oil safety, and then get to grips with the most current knowledge in the field of skin healing.

The first part is our Essential Oil Safety Masterclass – a six-lesson online certification course that shows you how to evaluate risks against benefits and make informed decisions for yourself as well as for your family and friends. You will learn the science behind safety, and the reasoning behind safety guidelines. Whatever your current level of knowledge, this will further enable you to safely apply essential oil preparations according to current evidence and best practices.

We then move onto a new, live program – Essential Oils for Healthy Skin. Here Robert Tisserand explores the effects of aromatics on skin health. Learn how to address common skin ailments and how to mix and blend essential oils, CO2 extracts and fatty oils with other ingredients to promote healthy and radiant skin. This eight-lesson online course encompasses most of what is known about these oils in relation to dermal effects, based on up-to-date research and clinical case studies.

Both courses include live Q&A, a discussion forum, presentation handouts, and printable course notes. Combined into one fifteen week program, Aromatic Skincare is a powerhouse of knowledge for anyone who wants to reap the benefits of essential oils for the largest, most accessible organ of the human body, and to do it safely.

About your Tutor: Robert Tisserand

Robert has been teaching others how to use essential oils for more than 40 years, and his first formulated products were created in 1974. He was an early pioneer of using Lavender as a product concept for skin soothing and calming products despite the then negative connotation (Lavender products are only used by old ladies…). Robert has created more than 100 commercial aromatherapy formulations. He was the first innovator outside of Australia to commit to the use of Tea Tree oil in natural products, developing a Tea Tree shampoo, and created several award-winning products, including a Tea Tree deodorant and a Tea Tree body wash.
In 2012, Robert developed a two-day in person skin course that he presented to audiences in Point Richmond, Santa Barbara and New York. The first online educational program at the Tisserand Institute was his 9-part Complete Skin Series, now updated and made into a full certification program on using essential oils for skin health. Robert wrote the first book in English on the subject of aromatherapy: The Art of Aromatherapy (1977). The Skin Care chapter begins: “Perfuming the body with sweet scents and oils is, perhaps, and indulgence, but it is a beautiful, innocent, and luxurious one…that is, as long as we use the products of nature.”
Robert Tisserand is a speaker, educator and consultant on the science and benefits of essential oils and their safe and effective application. In recent years he has inspired live audiences in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Czech Republic, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Japan on topics ranging from therapeutic action to the dynamic relationship between plant oils and the skin. Robert has more than 40 years of experience in aromatherapy “functional fragrance” product development. He was privileged to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award in Denver in 2007, and in 2014 he co-authored the second edition of Essential Oil Safety, a 780-page book published by Elsevier.

This webinar is an opportunity to benefit from his knowledge and experience. Learn about how you can use essential oils for optimum skin health.

What previous students say about our courses:

After working with essential oils for 32 years I’m fairly confident in my knowledge, but I have learned quite a bit from this class. Very impressed and grateful to Robert and Hana & Co. for all your work!

Dana Gass

Thank you! The course was fantastic! I will refer to it often, and, am already trying out some of the blends.

Nancy Scott, Your Content Goes Here

Thank you for such a wonderful and informative class! I have learned an abundance of wonderful information to not only help me to help others, but also to be able share my newly attained knowledge to help others better understand EO safety. I’m hoping for more of these in the future as I expand my knowledge of Aromatherapy! Thank you again! Blessings to all!

Lisa Macy

I wanted to thank you so much for this class! It was wonderfully organized and I looked forward to it every week. I really appreciate all your efforts to bring essential oil safety awareness to everyone. I am constantly referring to your book in my store and recommend it to all of my students. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am really looking forward to future classes!

Natalie Hajdu-Voakes

Thank you so much for your presentation and gathering of all the research available. I have learned so much because when you are running a business you don’t always have a lot of time to keep on top of all the research. I will be adding couple of essential oils to my formulas. Once again thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us.

Jenny Simon, Your Content Goes Here

I had taken the Safety Masterclass and wanted to thank you and Robert for all the information and material that you put together for us. This kind of functional information is very helpful and makes the journey into the fragrant world of essential oils coherent and easier to navigate. Thank you for all your efforts.

Anshika Goel

I want to thank you and Robert for all the effort that went into putting this invaluable webinar together.  For years, I have had inaccurate or incorrect information about essential oil safety, having relied on the information I found in aromatherapy reference books, various sites on the Internet and large essential oil companies.  I am so happy I finally have a greater depth of understanding about what I have discovered to be a quite complex subject. Apart from the content of the webinar, the logistics and online resources for the class were very well organized and easy to use.  I plan on taking additional classes in the future.

Lorraine Wolfangel-Hall

Dear Hana, Robert and Team,

I thoroughly enjoyed this course! I had many conflicts in my schedule but you and your team set everything up to be as easily accessed by computer as possible. Hearing the Q&A as well as the print outs was also a real bonus. I learned many new things I was unfamiliar with and those are the real value!!

Thanks and again and many blessings to you all.

Sara Holmes

Even though I have been in Aromatherapy for more than 30 years, I learned some wonderful things from your webinar and can not wait until the next one is available. Thank you so much!

FAQ

Each lesson will take place Tuesday at 11am PDT, starting July 2. Each will be recorded and posted the next day for you to rewatch.

Not a problem. Each live webinar lesson will be recorded so you can watch it later, and you will be able to ask questions through our learning portal. The recordings will be available to you for the remainder of the course, plus an extra four weeks after the last lesson.

Yes. Each lesson comes with printable handouts of the slides used in the lesson, and additional lesson notes. These are sent to you before each lesson and are for you to keep and refer to at any time.

Many of our students have commented that our courses helped them grasp what they learned elsewhere in more detail, or complemented their previous education. Some of our students are lifelong learners, and some are teachers.

We will let one of our previous students answer this one:

“The information presented is appropriate for all levels, and although I am just beginning my aromatherapy journey it all makes sense.”

Each weekly lesson is followed by a multiple choice quiz, and there is a summary test at the end of each of the two courses. Passing both the weekly quizzes and the final tests is a requirement for certification.

There will be an allocated time for your questions at the end of each live session.

Absolutely! In addition to the live Q&A sessions, you can post your questions in the dedicated student forums.

They are kind of both. The weekly lessons are all live, but each session is be recorded so if you cannot attend at the time you will be able to view it later.

You will have access to all the recordings and course materials for four weeks weeks after the last lesson, so up to the end of July 2019.

Because we have students from all over the world and of many professions we are not able to offer credits for specific organizations – there are simply too many. However, we issue a confirmation of CE hours gained on the course that you can apply with your professional organization and will be happy to assist with any additional documentation.

We have found that running classes on specific dates works best to help you finish a program. You join a class of students, and learn along with them. Many students help each other with queries, and of course our tutors are there too. That said, if you miss a few classes you should be still able to comfortably jump right back in and if you do fall behind you can request extra time. Of course this cannot be indefinite, but we do our best to help you get your certificate.
