The Tisserand Institute is made up not just of our tutors and core team, but also an incredible body of passionate students who come from all over the world. We want to give them the floor to share their stories and their experience with us.

Laura Brandt is a self-proclaimed “full time student” based in Canada. She started her epic journey of gathering essential oil knowledge by taking Aromatic Chemistry course with Dr. Joy Bowles as “a good way to just experiment, see if I can handle chemistry and this will make or break how far I go with this.” Well, three years, two separate aromatherapy certifications and all of the Tisserand Institute portfolio later, Laura has gone far and deep into the essential oil rabbit hole. We’re very grateful that she shared her story, and that she has felt supported – which in turn led her to discovering she has a scientific mind after all.
